Evidence-Based Practice

Instead of presenting a grand, monolithic theory, you externalize your mental model of the system and identify a leverage point. From there, you design a small, safe-to-fail experiment—a probe sent into the system to test a specific cause-and-effect relationship. You define what success looks like upfront, using clear, quantifiable metrics. Is it a change in team communication patterns? A reduction in resource consumption? An increase in user engagement? By measuring the “before” and “after,” you generate evidence. This evidence becomes the currency of your influence.
